Whatever happened to blogging?

I generally check out my website to see what I can do to change it. Everytime I look at it I see that I have this blog, and there is nothing on it. But blogging is a dying art. With Facebook and Twitter there really is no need to create a blog. So why does anyone need a blog anymore. This is probably going out to empty space right now anyway. So, my question is, who reads blogs? Who reads this blog?
